DAY OF ENTRIES
Day of entries will be accepted on site each day, if space allows. It is best to email Info@AllDogsOnline.com to verify availability.
DRIVING & PARKING
Please be courteous when driving on Run Wild property. 5 MPH is the MAXIMUM speed. This is not only for safety – driving faster also throws rocks and dust as well as causes potholes in the gravel, If you are found speeding you may be asked to leave, per Run Wild policy.
If you are crating in the arena please park as far in the back as you can, but don’t block RVs or park in RV spots. Please allow those who are crating out of their car to park closer to the arena. This helps the people crating out of their vehicles get to and from the ring with their dogs in a timely manner.
Handicapped parking and loading is against the grassy knoll. Help your friends get unloaded quickly so they can find parking further away.
Please obey all signs including not parking around the RVs unless you have had a face to face conversation with the RV owner.
DOG ETIQUETTE
Dogs come into the ring on leash even if you are carrying them.
Always know where your dog’s head is and what your dog is looking at. We don’t want any altercations…
Dogs must be on leash at all times except in the few paddocks that have signs that say they are off leash areas. Even then your dog must be in control and not bothering other dogs. Please be honest with yourself about how good your dog’s recall is and leash accordingly.
If you are in the fenced in potty area, you must be on leash (Run Wild policy).
Dogs should only go to the bathroom in appropriate areas and you MUST PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG. No matter the size of the dog, the poo, or the location on the property, pick up the poo. Not doing so can result in you being barred from Run Wild and ZAP events.
Please keep the ring aisles clear so that dogs that are trying to enter/exit the building can do so safely and quickly with their handler.
GENERAL FUN MATCH GUIDELINES
RULES & POLICIES
All Run Wild rules apply. Please read the rules (posted around the facility) and follow them.
SELF CHECK-IN
Please put a check mark before your dog’s name on the gate sheet so we know you have arrived and walked the course (if applicable). Please DO NOT CHECK YOUR FRIENDS IN ON THE GATE SHEETS!!!
As you enter the ring for your run, please put a line through your dog’s name.
RUN ORDERS
Each round will be limited to 20 entries to ensure that you know your approximate run time. We will start with Round #1 (in the appropriate ring), and if you entered more than 1 round, your following runs will be in Round #2, Round #3, etc. Once the 20 run limit is met, your first run will be in the next round in the sequence.
Jump heights will be grouped in each Ring/Round to help prevent ring conflicts:
REGULAR will run 4-8-12-16-20-24
JUMPERS will run 16-20-24-4-8-12
Please be ready to enter the ring as soon as the run before you is complete. This will make the day run smoother for everyone.
WALK -THRUS
Walk-through will be at 10 AM. We will split the walks into 2 groups. Please be in the arena and ready to walk at 10 AM. There will be an additional walk-thru after ROUND 2 (before ROUND 3). Additional walks will need to take place during your 3 minute run time.
YOUR RING TIME
Please be in the building and ready to have your ring time. We want to run this event efficiently and time begins when you enter the ring, and ends in 3 minutes.
You paid to use the ring – use it how you want/need. Want to train just contacts – go for it! Need start line training- it’s yours! Want to run the course – certainly! You can even invite friends out to “play judge” if you desire distractions.
There will be a timer in each ring, set to 2 minutes, 30 seconds. When you enter the ring, simply push the timer start. There will be a 30 second warning beep to let you know that your time is almost up (for a total of 3 minutes ring time). Please be courteous to the other exhibitors by collecting your dog and exiting the ring quickly.
CONFLICTS
If you do encounter a ring conflict (running 1 dog in 1 ring and being up in the other, etc.) please put a “C” next to your dog’s name. This will help the other exhibitors to be ready to go before you. You can slot yourself into the order once you no longer have a conflict.
DOGS IN RING
Only 1 dog per ring at a time, unless you are paying for multiple dogs to share ring time. if you want to do this, contact me to work out the details.
RING CLEANUP
If your dog knocks a bar during your ring time, please put it back at the appropriate height when your run ends, so the ring is ready for the next person.
MULTIPLE DOGS
If you are running multiple dogs and want to swap what dog you run & when, that is just fine – no need to get it approved! This is your ring time to use as you see fit.
FOODS/TOYS
This is a fun match, so you can use food/treats as you see fit, but please be courteous and clean up all your treat crumbs.
CRATING/CLEANUP
You are welcome to crate in the building, but please be courteous. If you use Run Wild’s chairs, please fold them up and put them back when you are done
HELP!
If you are flustered and cannot figure out the best way to run your dogs in both rings, JUST ASK! If you feel frustrated and rushed – COME SEE ME! We want everyone to be able to run their dogs and have fun!
SAFETY & SECURITY
I’d like to think that we live in an honest society, but we do not. At past events, there have been issues with valuables disappearing from people’s unlocked vehicles. Please remember to secure your valuables. It is very easy for non-dog people to drive/walk on to Run Wild grounds, and these people may not have good thoughts in their heart!
We all get busy, but if you notice or SEE ANYTHING that you think MIGHT be “off”, please come get Cathy or myself so that we can follow-up immediately.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
